On the evening of February 28, 2009, Jesus Peace, a component of Saint Sabina’s young adult ministry will be hosting their first fundraiser of 2009; “A Night of Poetry III: Food for Thought”.
As you know, needy families and individuals in our communities go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and the elderly are at the most risk, and they make up a number of clients the Saint Sabina Social Services aid.
During this event, we will fight poverty by orchestrating a widespread food drive, clothing drive and monetary fundraiser which will support the Saint Sabina Social Services Center in providing for and nourishing the residents of the Auburn Gresham community.
With the generous support of people like you, we will be able to assist Saint Sabina’s Social Services in helping many of these families and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but to work toward a brighter future
Today, you can make an immediate difference by supporting our fundraiser. You can help us by providing monetary assistance, can goods, clothes, supplies or gifts.
